Tastings cost $40 which includes your choice of three tasting cups consisting of cake, buttercream, plus an additional filling if you choose  Enough to share so everyone gets a good taste. Then we sit down to discuss your vision for your wedding.

Certainly, you can add extra tasting cups to your session for an additional $5 per cup. You may also include other pastries in your tasting at the standard retail price for each item. While some pastries, like specific macaron flavors, are seasonal, we offer the majority of our menu throughout the year. Custom flavors and decorations can be discussed during your consultation.

  1. Our tastings are available throughout the year. In the off-season, from November to April, our availability runs from Tuesday to Saturday. However, from May to October, we can only schedule meetings from Wednesday to Friday. Due to high demand in the wedding season, we advise booking your spot at the earliest convenience.
  2. Since we start the design process (and possibly even complete it) during your consultation, we recommend you come ready with ideas about your cake to our meeting.  It is recommended to meet with your florist beforehand if you are planning on having fresh flowers on the cake, though this is not necessary. 

At the present time, we are unable to ship tastings, but we are working on adding this option to our offerings.  When we are able to do so, shipped tastings will cost the same as the in person tastings along with any added shipping fees. Consultations will then take place either via phone, Zoom, or Facetime.

Pricing varies greatly based on design, however, all cakes for the year 2024 begin at a base price of $6 per serving and increase accordingly. A custom quote will be provided after we have discussed the details of your wedding cake design.

No, our goal is for everyone to be able to choose their desired cake.

We accept a limited number of wedding orders each week, so we advise booking your order with us 6-12 months prior to your wedding date. Northern Michigan is a sought-after wedding locale, and coveted dates tend to book rapidly. To check the availability of your wedding date, please complete an inquiry form, and we will inform you of our availability.

Cake should be as distinctive as you are. Therefore, while you may provide photos of cakes for inspiration, we do not replicate the work of other decorators. Instead, we prefer to incorporate your chosen color palette, florals, and wedding style or theme to create a custom-designed cake just for you.

  1. We offer gluten-free options for some of our cake flavors at an additional cost of $1 per serving.
  2. Although we provide a variety of vegan choices, we are unable to provide 100% gluten-free or nut-free cakes. We do use nuts in some of our products, and despite taking every precaution to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot assure a completely nut or wheat-free cake.
  • Rather than traditional rectangular sheet cakes, we provide round cakes in various sizes that can serve as “kitchen cakes.” This enables us to present a wider array of serving choices.These are fully frosted and filled, but undecorated, cakes that can be kept in the kitchen and sliced for service just like a sheet cake.  
  • Cupcakes are available in three sizes.  
    • Mini
    • Standard, similar in size to the cupcakes often made at home.
    • Jumbo-large cupcakes best suited for events other than weddings and formal occasions. 

Cake Care

We ensure meticulous care in delivering your cake to the venue. Delivery arrangements should be made at the time of your cake order. The minimum delivery fee is $20 for locations within 10 minutes of our shop. For all other distances, the fee is calculated based on the average travel time to your venue.

If you are planning on cutting your own cake for serving we recommend checking out these sites to help with this process. 

If you happen to have leftover cake we recommend covering the cut side of the cake with plastic wrap and storing the cake in the refrigerator if you plan to eat it in a day or two.  

For long term storage, remove the decorations and cardboard from the cake. Chill it in the refrigerator until the frosting is firm, then wrap it in two-three layers of plastic wrap, and a layer of aluminum foil.  Place it in an air-tight container and store in the freezer until you are ready to enjoy it again!
